NC DPI has completed the 2nd draft of the K-8 math standards. DPI is encouraging teachers and parents to review the standards and provide feedback.
The standards are not expected to go to the state board for a vote until June 2017 and likely, there will be no expected implementation of the revised standards until 2018-19 with the first new EOGs occurring during the 2018-19 year.
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Mathematics Section staff has developed a survey to seek public input on the second draft of the state’s revised K-8 Mathematics Standards. The second draft takes into account local school district feedback.
The survey deadline is 5 p.m., April 20.
