Principal's Belief Statement

This I believe…..

I believe our public schools are designed to advocate for the educational needs of our children.  I believe upon completion of a Pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade education our youth are able to function socially, politically, technologically, and economically in our ever-changing society.  I believe the school setting creates an atmosphere that promotes a safe and nurturing learning environment, where students are able to flourish and cultivate an intrinsic value of their own learning experiences.  I believe our schools are a safe-haven for children, filled with educators who are genuinely concerned about the needs of our young learners.

I believe East Albemarle Elementary School fosters a love of learning in our youth.  I believe we are empowering young leaders while creating critical thinkers.  I believe we have created an environment where learning is meaningful and responsive to the cultural needs of our students.  I believe East Albemarle educators help our students make the necessary connections between what we learn in the classroom and how it applies in the real world.

I believe in order for students to excel academically they must perceive learning as fun and school as an enjoyable place to belong.  I believe we create learning experiences that are engaging and whet the curiosity of our young learners.  I believe by modeling what is expected, we will yield strong results in the end.

I believe the school makes a difference in the lives of our youth.  However, I strongly believe when the school, home and community work collaboratively, we significantly impact the lives of our youth.  I believe East Albemarle Elementary School has an open door policy encouraging parental involvement in the teaching and learning process.

I believe at East Albemarle Elementary School we are empowering our community, one child at a time, while being committed to doing whatever it takes to help each student reach his or her highest potential.  I believe by education each child as our own, we are accomplishing our goal of high achievement for all.
